The TSI is made with the logic of playing house music mainly and also is good for main stream.There is no hardware upgrade on my tsi and is not SE version. Its like you bought it from the store.
The changes from the original tsi is
1) In default mode there is no scratch . You can scrach only when you press the scractch button. The reason is that i dont use scratch so i need the pitch bend more than scratch. In my tsi when you move the top of the jog you bend the track and when you move the side of the jog you bend the track also but less. In this ways the music doesnt stop even when you press by accident the touch sensitive jog wheel.
2)The buttons i use is Play/pause ,Cue/play, Fast backward(FB) and fast forward(FF).
The FB and FF buttons works differently when you have the track on pause. When the track is playing the buttons seeks the track slower and when you pause the song the buttons seeks the track faster.
3)There is only one Fx bank that i use with 3 chained effects and i cannot find a reason to use more than that. Both of the channels uses the FX1 bank. The reason to do that is that i wanted to keep the vestax as simple as possible and one button to make one job and make it right. In this way i dont have "panels" meaning the knobs for the effects will be used only for the effects and what you see is what you get. In original tsi the approach in effects is totally different and i was always messing up with the knobs when i was changing "panels" from track A to track B and to the middle. I was always forgeting to change the knobs before to change the "panel" resulting in changing for some seconds the key or the filter of the track. So i desided to make it as simple as i can. SO you have only one knob per effect .
4)Key is assigned at balance knobs. I rearly use changes in key and i never use the balance knob.
5)In mixer you have from down to up Filter,bass (with cut) , mid ,hi and next to that gain.
It is logical and if you turn by accident the filter is not big deal.
6)In juggler mode which you activate from the left button you can assign hot cues. The reason is that i assign generally one time that.
7)In browser view you can load a track when a deck is stoped oor empty. In this way i dont have to remember which deck is stoped.
8) you can increase and decrease a loop with touching one button.

To print the overlays you should use vinyl sticker with plastic cover. Ask your local store it does not cost more than 10 euros
